    Sizing: 125 mm

    Mouthpiece Thickness: 14 mm

    Cheek Length: 7 cm

The optimum fit of the Bemelmans Weymouth keeps the horse on the bit. It has a smooth, rounded port and the shape of the mouthpiece is adapted to the sensitive palatal arch. The thickness is tapered towards the center.

The acceptance of this bit results in soft and even distribution of pressure across the entire tongue due to the exceptional form of the mouthpiece. The horse‘s impulse to put the tongue over the bit is nearly neutralised.

A Weymouth that meets with highest requirements, resulting in relaxed and contented horses. Less rein action needed as it is more direct due to the short cheeks. Sensitive rider hands are therefore very important.

    Senosgan with stainless steel cheeks.

This unique Weymouth with its slanting mouthpiece and a smooth, rounded port is angled forward and has fine distribution of pressure on the tongue. The bit takes advantage of the exceptional sensitivity of the tongue ensuring precise rein aids. Suitable for horses that dislike tongue pressure.

Brilliant for introducing a horse gently to a Weymouth bit. The slanting mouthpiece encourages the harmony between the rider’s hand and the horse’s mouth providing a relaxed and secure contact to the Weymouth.

Less rein action needed, as it is more direct due to the short cheeks.

Sensogan mouthpiece with stainless steel cheeks.

Designed for the horse with a short smile (small distance from the corner of the lip to the muzzle)! A mild ergonomically designed Weymouth. The gently sloping mouthpiece forms a wide, low tongue bridge designed for maximum comfort across the tongue and gentle, even weight distribution over the bars. The mouthpiece is a constant 16mm diameter, circular over the bars and cleverly changing shape forming an oval profile over the tongue, thereby occupying minimum volume between the tongue and upper palate. A very kind, gentle mouthpiece designed specifically for maximum comfort and clear communication.

Mouthpiece thickness is 16 mm. Shank size is 7 cm.

Is your horse overactive in the mouth? Is he inwardly fixated on the presence of the doubles and not focussing fully on the rein aids? This design is often beneficial for the “short smile” (small distance from the corner of the lip to the muzzle), the busy mouth, tongue evasions or horse’s that experience difficulty in breathing and swallowing when in an advanced outline. The NS Transform depresses the whole of the tongue, much further back, creating larger airway enhancing the horse’s ability to breathe and swallow. An indication of a restricted airway may be a tense horse that is over salivating or even making a gurgling sound. Also beneficial if tongue evasions are habitual as there is a lot less room for the horse to successfully draw the tongue back, push down on the mouthpiece or get it over the top.

Mouthpiece thickness is 12 mm. Shank size is 7 cm.

Recommended as your horse’s introduction to the Weymouth (relaxed acceptance). Also extremely beneficial for the sensitive mouth. A mild ergonomically designed Weymouth that sits well back in the mouth over a thicker, less sensitive area of the tongue. It is highly recommended as your horse’s first Weymouth as it promotes relaxed acceptance, encouraging the horse to lengthen the neck, stretching into a soft, consistent contact.

Mouthpiece thickness is 16 mm. Shank size is 7 cm.

Does your horse suffer from bar sensitivity? This mouthpiece traces out a subtle convex arc angled forwards at 45° to the cheek shanks. When a contact is taken, gentle uniform pressure is exerted over the widest, least sensitive part of the tongue, greatly reducing any pressure over the thinner, sensitive, outer edges of the tongue and bars. This design is extremely popular with Thoroughbreds, as they usually have thin skinned, angular bars. The Neue Schule Thoroughbred Weymouth does not travel forwards onto the tongue and allows plenty of room for the bridoon. If a horse is particularly sensitive, a thicker bridoon may be employed.

Mouthpiece thickness is 12 mm. Shank size is 7 cm.

Gives a good lifting action without upper palate interference. A very unobtrusive design that sits well back in the mouth over the thicker, less sensitive part of the tongue. The 'Slimma' Weymouth is anatomically designed to take up very little room in the mouth bridging the tongue (tongue relief) and contouring snugly under the upper palate leaving much more space for the bridoon -- hence a fatter bridoon is an option that may benefit a horse that is tentative into the contact. The 14mm normally offers extra lift from the shoulder and takes up less room in the mouth than thicker mouthpieces.

Does your horse have insufficient room in the mouth to accommodate a conventional Weymouth? The Neue Schule Lightweight Mors L'Hotte Weymouth (French Curb) is ideal for horses that do not have much room in the mouth and it is also extremely beneficial for horses that are strong, but sensitive at the same time. The mouthpiece traces out a subtle convex arc in alignment with the curb cheek shanks. It exerts very gentle even pressure across the tongue and does not abuse the sensitive outer edges, nor does it roll forwards onto a thinner more sensitive area of the tongue. This promotes comfort and has consistently proved to eradicate tongue evasions. Since extra room is created a thicker bradoon may be employed with this curb.

Mouthpiece thickness is 12 mm. Shank size is 7 cm.
