The 2-type bit is wonderful for horses that have fleshy thick lips. Unfortunately we have a tendency to put a too wide a bit in this type of horse and the 3 piece bit does not stay centered where it belongs. By using a 2-type you can put in a smaller (narrower) bit that fits the mouth better and not interfere with the thick lips. This then centers the bit and puts the middle piece in the middle of the mouth where it belongs.

KK-Conrad-Ultra bits create the best possible effect in the horse's mouth without being more severe. Gentle to the mouth and tongue, because the angle of the link is turned by 45° to the front.
